[EP16] “Lets Talk Politics & Do You Actually Have Rights?

In Episode 16 of the Unmodern Podcast, Robin Menaar and I have such a wholesome conversation that every “average” man or even person can relate to.
Robin and I talk about the concept of retirement and how “the dream” isn’t what you think it is. We share our personal opinions of the rat race and how it can affect people into focusing on all the wrong things in life.
Lastly, we get political. Now I know that’s an eye rolling conversation to most. But given the current political climate, I feel this podcast is just the right spice to add to mix. Why, you might ask? Well, politics affects us more than you know. The current EA strike happening in Edmonton and throughout Alberta. How we hold our elected officials accountable or lack thereof, and how you’ve been totally convinced that not getting involved and shying away from political conversation is in your best interest. Well, I hate to break it to you, but getting involved to a degree is the responsibility of a civil society. All those rights and freedoms you enjoy never came from men and women who chose not to get involved. Change is messy. Progress is painful. The first step is education and awareness. I hope this episode brings you that!
